Volunteers
needed for
Grosse Pointe Santa Claus Parade
The Friends of
Belle Isle Aquarium is looking for volunteers to
participate in the Grosse Pointe Santa Claus
Parade. It will be held on Friday, November 23,
which is the day after Thanksgiving.
Our unit will simulate fish swimming in an
aquarium tank. Six large windsock fish which are
mounted on poles will be held by people who will
walk within our simulated aquarium wall. Four
people will move the simulated aquarium tank
walls which will be mounted on rollers. Two
people will carry our logo banners and pass out
bookmarks to the crowd.
I do not have all the details yet. However,
volunteers must be able to walk the length of
the parade route, be dressed for all kinds of
weather, and be willing to meet early in the
morning the day of the parade.
This will be an exciting, fun-filled day. Please
