This correspondent had an excellent suggestion:

I don't know if this has been suggested or done yet, but as a member of the Detroit
Zoo I will be writing Ron Kagan a letter expressing my concerns and my outrage that
the Aquarium will be closing. I didn't pay for a membership just to go to the zoo.
I paid to be able to go to the aquarium as well. It's one of my family's favorite
quick outings in the Detroit area.

We are in agreement. If the Zoo does not desist in this fast-track destruction of the Belle Isle Aquarium, FOBIA will seriously consider asking it's members to BOYCOTT the Zoo
